Fespa 2016 – Amsterdam, Whose going?
Posted by Unknown Member on 31 January 2016 at 11:03Hi Guys,
Fespa 2016 is less then 40 days away and looks like its going to be a good one.
I’m particularly interested in seeing all the new textile printing developments…
Anyone else from the boards attending would be nice to see if we can meet up for couple of cold ones….always nice to meet some of the members face to face.
I will be in Amsterdam on the 8th and leave on the 10th… managed to get the whole trip booked for less then £180.00, flight & Hotel….Didn’t think that was to bad.

I had planned going James, may still do as its the closest one, but wanted to try and go to the states this year for Sign Expo, SGIA or SEMA. Prefer the sign ones though as the content is much more varied than others i think as it takes in sign, print and wrapping amongst other things and is huge. Also has a high attendance from countries that don’t normally attend European shows. so a better chance of finding something new well in advance of it arriving in the UK.

I’m going to all those US ones as well…
Let me know when your certain of dates and lets get it booked in the calendar.

I will be going. Flying to amsterdam on the 7th, staying also till the 10th.

We’re in discussions at the moment. I’ve not done the Amsterdam one before so I’m keen….

How was Fespa? I was sick and couldn`t attend ;(

I thought it was a really interesting show – no massive leaps forward in technology, as far as I could see…but it’s always interesting to see how the suppliers use the substantiates they are demonstrating or examples they have on their stands.
Lots of fabric and soft-signage on display as well as methods of displaying the fabric prints.
Having been there as the doors opened on Tuesday at 10am and left as the exhibition closed at 6pm I’d still have said another 1/2 day would have been useful rather than the 1 day I was there. Overall a thumbs up from me. :thumbup2:

Had planned from months ago attending this, but as per usual, work load crept up on me. I do still plan on doing a show in the states this year so not all lost, and of course Sign & Digital soon.

I don’t think you would have enjoyed it Rob…there weren’t enough Bars in the exhibition hall 😉

True Craig, I think Sign & Digital should be held in Wetherspoons and suppliers just rent a table each, armed with an iPad to show products.
much more convenient and easier networking. Kinda like speed dating, sit down, few minutes to sell themselves, then move to next table / supplier.(obviously i have just heard this is how its done! 😕 )
I am considering SEMA in Vegas as its later in the year, but not signs as such, more wrapping, and bars! 😉

I went for a 3 days…well one at show..spent all day walking around as show was huge !
Didn’t see anything especially new but as Craig said ‘soft signage’ was a big part along with some very big printers to match. There was also a large robotic arm for sculpting and a few 3D printers. Best part was watching the World Wrap Masters.John

I don’t know about you John, but I would have been more impressed if Robotic arm had of been carving/sculpting rather than just moving around a pre-made piece.

Hi Craig. …
ha ha totally agree…perhaps that’s why I didn’t stop and ask the price !! If fact, the only thing I bought were a few squeezes from Yello! !John

Loads of Soft Signage going on 😀 must be a growth area.
Great seeing you there James & look forward to a great Sign & Digital
