Just sat at my desk this morning, and looking at the plotter it looks to me as if the rubber belt for the carriage isn’t straight.

You cannot see the ‘grip roller position’ stickers to the right but at the left hand side the belt barely touches the bottom them.

Not really being technically minded, this seems odd, as surely if its not level, then the cutter will apply more pressure to one end of the media than the other? 😕

    I am worrying over nothing?
Can it be adjusted? and can I do it myself? Or is it going to cost me some pennies?

    Many thanks
    David

might be an idea to call a tedchnician for some quick advice mate.
they can probably give you a quick answer to "can you fix it on your own or not".
if not, call in the calvery… 😀

2-C-3 on the toolbar is a good start.

    😀

just had a look at my fc7000 and the belt is 3mm higher on the right than left, i think that its to do with how high the belt is clamped in the cutter head housing. as if yo move the head to the left the height of the belt alters slightly.
put it another way i am not getting the tool box out it cuts beautifully and the belt is not fouling any thing.
test the tension of the belt by twisting the belt on the longest run and you should only be able to twist it 30 deg without feeling you are straining it.
don’t know if that’s the official way but good rule of thumb.

It cuts fine so think I may be worrying over nothing.

Thinking about it though the carriage is pulled along a rail/track so the belt shouldn’t make any difference.
