    i like it !!

i’ve not ventured into the raised letters yet, went for a walkablout round local town today, the usual leaflet and card, “hi my names Hugh etc” that i do when i go a bit quiet, and a guy asked me for some, i mentioned that i dont currently do em but he wanted me to look into it, so look into it i will 😮

did you make the lettering or buy in ?

Not really my cup of tea David but looks like you have done a good job, don’t know if its the picture or my browser but it actually looks like black letters on red background on my PC.
I would still like to see a picture of it lit up and as has already been said would be a great addition to you portfollio to show people what you can do.
Hugh, you should really look into individual letters, get some samples from people like accent, they are normally reasonably easy to fit so shouldn’t be a problem for a man of your tallents.

aw shucks, thanks Martin !! i’ve just asked Ashby for a catalogue / brochure,

i’ll have a look for the acent link, i know its been posted before ! i’m not overly sure how the letters actually attach, some seem to use glue, and while i’m sure it’s fine, seems a bit odd to me not to use some kind of hard fixing,

    ooops, hijacking thread, apologies !

Cant wait to see it illuminated, I know nothing about electrics so try to avoid them, did you do the electrical side yourself or get a qualified electrican to do it?

Hi everyone, got the keys last night and went and lit it up. So here you go, a pic of it lit. I would have liked to light diner as well unfortunately my clients budget wouldnt allow it ( i nearly thought about doing it for free lol). All comments as always appreciated.

    Hi Jane,

We did the electrics ourselves. Linked all the letters together in the workshop so all we had to do on site was bore two holes through the wall and wire up the transformers. Its quite simple with LEDS, just make sure your red wire goes to red and the blue wire to blue. Leds run on 12v so are quite safe to work with, if you do do anything wrong.

    David,
Thanks for the explanation, I have a phobia about dealing with anything to do with electrics 😮
Sign looks good all lit up, well done 😀

Was waiting to see this lit up.
I like it a lot, but feel that “DINER”gets lost.
I would have put it in its own long thin black panel, and spread the letters out, making them a paler pink.
    But that’s just me!
    Love….Jill
