    External Sign Lights – Installation Regulations?

    Hello, can anyone tell me what regulations we as sign makers and installers have to follow when fitting light boxes and pelmets lights etc..

    I currently use a qualified sparky for my installations, but feel i may be losing out on jobs as I believe my local competitors are carrying out the electrics themselves. I only use a sparky for peace of mind as I’m not sure what the regulations are, if there are any. I wouldn’t batter an eyelid about doing these installations myself as I have a good understanding of electrics and consider myself competent. I just don’t want to get into trouble and land myself a large fine. Any help or advice on this matter would be extremely helpful. Cheers, Jimmy.
