    I need a non-yellowing, clear, exterior grade, matt-finish varnish.
    Any suggestions.

I need it to cover some Dulux trade eggshell emulsion and make it suitable for exterior use.

    Please help, cheers Patrick.

Hi Patrick, just noticed from your post that you want a matt finish, may be difficult to find.

Try Blackfriar, they do a Satin finish.

In my experience all varnishes will yellow over time though.

    Hi Patrick
came across your query while browsing.
As one in the painting trade I would suggest that you use an "acrylic eggshell" emulsion finish rather than trying to protect what would not be an emulsion suitable for external use.
Your local paintshop should be able to tint it to a required shade.
Rushtins used to make a water-based varnish which might also solve the problem—at least it would not react with an emulsion.
    regards
    Barry

AS A PROFESSIONAL PAINTER, MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES WITH THE BLACKFRIARS COMPANY WOULD NOT PERMIT ME TO RECOMMEND ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS,BUT IN PARTICULAR THEIR "DANISH OIL"
