I’ve been keeping an eye on the story on Sky, it seems it wasn’t a gas explosion but possibly something that has exploded within the factory.
    16 people still unaccounted for.
Quite shocking when it’s somewhere you know, I’ve been in and around the offices in there, it’s very old.

Was 500 yards from it in a model shop (Pastimes) on Maryhill Rd when it happened.

Wasn`t a huge bang and the smoke was only dust.

    No fires etc.

Building seems to have collapsed or imploded as there was very little debris scattered about. All the wndows within 100 yards, including the rover Garage which is like 50 yards from it, were also intact which suggests it collapsed rather than exploded. I haven`t seen anything on TV tho and it was difficult to get a close look.

Been in VT Vink loads of times so i knew the building well. It always struck me as ancient and bordering on derelict.

Reports are saying that the explosion was in the ovens….
as you say Rod, the building was knackered, I don’t think it would take much for it implode/collapse.
