its about 6feet x 2 shane ….eh the sign that is 😳
Ps how you feeling today mate anyway

sorry mate, trying to convince my two kids to have a bath and go to bed.. I don’t recall being allergic to water like my two… If it were a pool or a beach, or a hose, you’d not get them away from it, but combine the water with soap and it is all of a sudden something akin to devil worship
Anyways, the sign is perfect for a roll up. It is not too big that it would not be hard to construct and carry in fourex, and placed on a easel of some sort.
I have made A Frames up in the past with no faces, put an angle on the base to make it into an easle, then used that to hold a sign panel. Ideal in display homes. Just a thought.
Cheers,
Leg is getting there. getting sick of my new nick name already… they call me hop-a-long now at work. 😎

We had that here about 6 months ago. I missed it but I’m told it is good viewing. It was filmed down south. If ever you see a show over there made in OZ called RPH, it is a must see. Real life hospital documentry, rivetting stuff. ER in OZ is the same style but less documentry format.
Hey, I hear you met Bob Cuthill the other day. He didn’t tell too many stories about me did he? :lol1: :lol1:
Cheers Brian. I’m out wynum in a fortnight. I’ll let you know how I go.

Hi folks
A few days ago i placed a post for information about putting up an exhibition sign. Shane wrote back suggesting foamx on a type of easel ..i liked that idea …they didn’t . 😕 In fact there not sure what they want ..but i suppose that’s my job to tell them what they do need 😀 I thought along the banner type sign that would spring back into its own case that they could transport them self’s …but that was also a no no 😕 😕 Th eve come to a decision that they want a sign made of foamx that could be placed on to a partition (you know the type of stuff its like felt ..sometimes blue in colour .I notice that sometimes its used in garages to partition off offices etc etc ) Question is how would i the sign on to this blue stuff.I thought of using picture frame type couplings that would just slide into the back .But how would i attach them onto this blue stuff .If I’m not making this very clear I’m sorry but i hope you get the general idea
Regards Brian

Hiya Brian,
I’m a big fan of retractable banner stands, they’re portable, lightweight and relatively inexpensive.
Maybe you can find a wholesale source that can produce your design and you can sell it at a profit?
This is what I’m talking about.

Something like this would sell for about $1000 US, including design, but there are options that are less expensive.Cheers,

I was going to suggest the roll up banner thing can’t really think of anything else Brian, I know there are people on here that specialise in exhibition stuff may be one may be kind enough to show you the way 🙄 can’t recall names at the moment but I know I’ve seen them

yeah i suggested them cheakers to the customer ..i thought they were a good idea as was shanes …but the customer is really fussy and i suppose as i said its for me to understand what he wants even tho he doesn’t ….if you get what i mean 😀 😀 😀 I think he will probably go for the foamx with the panatrim frame 😕 😕
Thanks for your imput ..Regards Brian

Brian is that not going to make it heavy and cumbersome to cart about ??

Thanks Lynn…ive got the Banner box brochure here they do these banners .When i mentioned these to the customer he said that he had seen these at another exhibition and they were fine from the front but you could see all the construction from the back (?) (?) 😕 Ive never seen these things from the back but id imagine that they would be identical and that asll the “machinery”so to speak is hidden neatly up the sides …id would think it would be a wire/spring of some kind

Hi Brian,
Try easystands http://www.easystands.com or ultima http://www.ultimadisplays.co.uk
Both of these do the hardware for double sided banner stands (ideal if you client doesn’t want to see the pole at the back).
All you got to do then is the artwork and source your print (very easy to fit).
Chris.
