excuse me for asking …but
Hi folks
i only have a cutter ….and some pure sable chisel writers, an air brush…and loads of paint. that’s the sign trade for me , anything else i buy in if i need it .Ive been getting digital prints from another company , a good company very helpful . which brings me to my question , i always thought that after the printer finishes would cut the shape but just lately Ive been picking them up and had to cut round the prints with a craft knife . Not an ideal situation when your in a hurry .Do you get machines that do the lot ?Regards Brian

Soory for the short answer, had to go. Print and cut is now the norm,
But I think if you are subbing out you need to specify that you need contour cut.

Are you supplying artwork that includes a cutting path? If not, either the printer bloke doesn’t know where you need the cut to go or is assuming you don’t want it cutting. Maybe?
If they are having to create the vector for the cut path themselves that’s going to cost extra.
Just guessing.

Oh, and by the way Brian, you do not need an excuse for asking. Thats what the boards are about isnt it?
