Bloody hell that was a long subject title…

Well I’m skeet I’ve been at hilliard and winn for around a year and a half and have learnt lots since.

My part at hilliard and winn is to operate a spandex v2 tornado router using artcam insignia, I also cut vinyl and design artwork. I’m in charge of cutting everything and anything creating new and innovative ways to utilise this somewhat new piece of machinery.

I make sure anything and everything that goes out to the customers has all fixings and everything they require and I’m also responsible for making fixing templates for flat cuts, built ups and neon. I also do all work on the backtrays for built up lettering.

Hilliard and Winn are a trade sign specialist who have been operating for over 25 years and have over 35 years experience in producing neon.

Origionally Mick Hilliard a sign fitter join with Rolan (rollie) Winn who was a supplier of neon. Together they created Hilliard and Winn supplying neon, transformers and all neon related fixtures and fittings.

Rollie retired and John Abrey joined the team as co-owner, although the name hasn’t changed alot has and Hilliard and Winn now aim to supply anything and everything a customer could require.

All types of perspex, foamex and steel letters are avalible. Either built up or flat cut, fascias, neon and cold cathode lighting is avalible. Leds…anything and everything.

We currently supply components and full signs to companys that do signs for wilkinsons (letters+backtrays) Ann Summers (letters, fascia and neon) Vauxhall (neon) House of Fraser (neon and letters) H.Samuel(letters, neon, internal perspex letters, templates…everything except fitting)

They are just a number of the high profile jobs we undertake, yet we also take on smaller one of jobs as well as contracts wether it be a flat cut foamex letter or five sets of rim and return mirror polished letters with vinyl and a diamond encrusted fascia! (note: we do not do diamond encrusted fascias.) 😛

So yeh boring really…I play drums, live in a sleep town called morley above a shop enjoy a wide range of music, piercing and tattoos. Which is probably why I can’t get a “proper” job 😛

    Hi Skeet,

Thanks for making the effort to do a full intro mate, its always nicer to know a little background from others on the boards ! Specially if you are in the business of making stuff that others might be interested in, you might pick up some extra business too 😉
