Estate Agent Boards – Sizes
Posted by Darrell Wootton on 24 May 2007 at 11:57Hi,
Can anyone confirm the legal size of estate agent for sale boards.
I have been asked to make 5 boards for a local builder, I think they can be around 800mm x 600mm.
Can anyone confirm please.
Thanks
Daz…

The Regulations in Brief
For Sale or To Let boards may be erected outside a property without planning consent provided they comply with Planning Regulations. The size must not be greater then 0.5 square metres, most boards comply. Adverts for commercial properties may be larger.
There may be one board only per property. A second board may not be displayed for the same property. A single board may advertise two estate agents but the maximum size permitted is then 0.6 square metres.
No advertisement may be displayed indicating that the property has been sold or let other than by an addition to an existing advertisement, e.g. a "Sold" sticker.
Finally, the board must be taken down within 14 days of completion of the sale or let.

Daz I’m a little confused as you have the sizes listed on your web site ??
-
Yes,
Just added them yesterday after the enquiry.
Every time I get an enquiry for any type of sign, if its not already on my site, I add it on with options and increase the size of the site, hoping to pick up additional business!

Rich,
Its OK having a website but it can be a nightmare ensuring everything’s up to date.
It can cause problems when you need to update a range of prices or product descriptions etc.
I think I am up to around 260-280 pages on the site, although I must admit some of it is duplicated.
