I’ve been running one for a few years now…..other than early teething troubles finding a suitable clear film to print posi’s on I can’t fault it
Ours has been very reliable, it needs very little looking after and we haven’t needed to get anybody out to fix it yet
I’ve never printed canvases but it can handle posters with no problems and the ultra chrome inks are very good
I would have no problems recommending one

Have you thought about the 9880 or 9900. The heads are less prone to clogging from paper dust and the vivid magenta improves colour space. Also you can have photo black and matt black loaded simultaneously in the later models for easier crossing between media types

Graham,
managed to get a 9800 after.
Absolutely great machine for canvas prints.
Have had no trouble so far with head clogging, fingers crossed !
