    Hi

I have been having problems getting eps files into signlab (usually there is no problem) this one has come from a design house and it seems tricky after re saving a few times the images now import but they are locked and I cant seem to unlock them – any one any ideas?

Try the "break path" function under "arrange"

    Hi Phil,

Cheers but I tried that, ……however I think I have cracked it. I tried the clipping whatever that is? nothing, that is unless you click ungroup first.
So ungroup then clipping, then clipping clear and that’s it!

I have only tried 2 of 13 files so far but seems its sorted it! Never come across that before!

its quite common for designers to use clipping paths,
it is a very useful tool especially in signlab.
For instance if you just want part of a picture or a texture to fill a letter or a shape put the shape in front off whatever you need to clip, select both and apply clipping.
just in case you didnt know what is used for.

Use clipping in Signlab to show only part of a bitmap without the square white background. Draw any shape, oval or whatever, lay it over the bitmap, select clipping and hey presto.
