Dont know artcut, but have you tried opening the files in illustrator, corel or other program, and saving as a format that artcut will regognise?

Just did a quick search on Google. It looks like ArtCut supports file types that are more closely associated with CAD. I don’t know about support for other file types. Probably DXF or DWG would work better though. Illustrator can export as both DXF or DWG. If you don’t have Illustrator, I can open the .eps files for you and then export them out as a DXF or DWG. Just let me know.

Yes Plz
Could you try opening it and saving as a EPS file aswell to see if that works
I know it sound funy but it worth a goCheers

I’ll do that. There are quit a few different types of .eps files. I’ll try a Illustrator 8 .eps because it seems to be the friendliest, in my opinion, to other apps. I looked at the artcut website and they say they support .eps and .dxf formats. We’ll see what works.

Maybe contact Artcut (made by a Chinese company called Wentai) to find out exactly what type of .eps file Artcut supports. Also there are a few different options for exporting DWG/DXF from Illustrator. They should make it a little bit more clear how files should be made for import. From some of the reviews I’ve read, Artcut is kind of a dog of a program. Maybe if you didn’t spend to much on it, cut your losses and go with one that supports more formats. I’m sure if you ask around on these boards people will give you their honest opinion about what software is best. Also I think there are a few programs that work as plug ins for the major Vector apps (Illustrator, CorelDraw & FreeHand). Anyway, good luck. Sorry the conversions didn’t work out.

Oh yeah, I meant to tell you that MediaFire site is really cool. I’ve sent it to all of my Graphic Design buddies. 😎

Hi there,
Ive used artcut6 a bit and i found that just because something worked sometimes – it didnt necessarily the next for some reason.
Try importing eps to corel then exporting again as an eps file.
dont ask me why but it works sometimes. The other thing I did with it was import to illustrator, save as ai, import to corel then export to eps and import to artcut.
Its a really strange program but has some really easy workings in it too.
Hope this works
