  • End of wrap holder?

Posted by Andrew Murray on 17 September 2012 at 13:56

Hi there, im looking for a tool that im sure i seen on here but i cant find it for the life of me.. Basically it clamped onto the end of a piece of vinyl and kept it even. I think it could be a useful tool for a one man roof/ bonnet wrap.

Any ideas of what im talking about? lol

I know what you mean mate, but I really cant think of the name! I was thinking about getting one but never got round to it.

What I usually do is when I take the backing paper off, I roll it up and use that as an extra support, works just the same for smaller jobs, not sure what it would be like with a wrap though!

I use 2 strips of 6mm correx stuck together. Stick the leading edge of the vinyl onto that and away you go!

Works for me! and you can use whatever you have lying around. Dibond is ok but cover the edges in gaffer tape to you cant scratch the vehicle!
