email problems
hi all I’m having email problems where outlook of incredimail download multiple copies of the same email
could it be my server as its doing the same on work comp and lap top

sounds like a bit of spam,
I recently have had multiple stuff, mainly selling fake stock market newsBustards circulate your addy once they have it, so it gets repeated, I just get my email prog to auto delete

no mate even if i send myself an email every time i send and receive to check for new messages it re downloads what it downloaded 5 Min’s go

now that does sound odd, sorry Rich, dont have a clue, Perhaps our resident techies can shed some light?

well email works likes this…
send and receive…
get a list of messages…
download 1..5
when the last message, it then tells the server that 5 was downloaded..or it downloads the lot again, so the confirmation at the end of the 5 needs to get through, not too much of a problem these days with broadband here unlike the past slowness

its still doing it every time outlook or incredimail re check messages it downloads them again but his is doing it on all my comps which are not linked so could it be my server
