Hi all, looking for opinions on the above easymount laminators. Really what I would like to know are the benefits of the heated roller and are those benefits good value for money?

I’m aware that there will be less silvering with the heat, but will it eliminate it or just improve? Also (and this may be a daft question!) but did there not used to be separate laminates for use with heat and on cold laminators? I may be way of mark there?

Also open to suggestions on other manufacturers but this is where my research so far has taken me.

    Thanks, G

a quick bump to see people opinions, I thought this was a popular make? Maybe I’m looking at the wrong brand altogether?

to put in the mix there are

    cold lam
    warm 40deg
    hot for encapsulation

mine is a warm one and pleased i paid the extra, when i can’t wait for it to warm up the difference is quite significant.
the silvering is almost nil when used warm but a lot of silvering is down to the make of laminate as well as temp.
when laminating cast clears wraps etc 40 deg is to warm and as we cant alter the temp have to self regulate the temp around 25 30 deg. by switching the heater on and off, but as they are slow to heat and cool down not a problem.

Thanks for the info Chris, I was hoping for more info from other users of these machines to try and gauge the benefits of paying the extra, so far I’ve learned that ‘100% of people who responded prefer heated machines’ 😀
