Edward Mathias – which blade do I buy??
Hi All,
I just got some info through from Edward Mathias who most of you know manufacture plotter blades but there are a couple of different blades that I’ve to choose from:
a GSK19v and an Accu-G.
The first is £8.25 and the Accu-G is £20 to start with but you must buy 7 in order to get the holder “on loan”.
What does everyone else use??

gav its been a long time since my first order with them, so im not much use at advising here.. we just repeat what we normaly get each time…
what i can say though is that i doubt i bought 7 blades and holders first time round. i cant see it mate… and i doubt “you” would go through 5 blades in your first year never mind 7…
maybe your mistaken about somthing im not sure mate.

Gav, I would say the GSK19v is a blade/holder combination if this is the case then you need 3, 1 in the machine, 1 spare and 1 on its way for sharpening that way you will always have a good un, the Accu-G is I think the accudepth holder, I use this in preference to the holder/blade combos but thats just a personal preference, I like the adjustability this offers with the other one all you have is blade pressure to alter, at first the accudepth ones are a bit fiddly but after a coupla goes its easy, Mathias provide an instruction sheet but it took a coupla reads for an ol’ country boy like me to get, are you listening Harry! 😆

I’ve never actually spoken to these guys as I’ve just sent and e-mail with my address and they posted me out some bumf!
I’ll be ordering some blades on monday so I will mention to him!

I use the RSK250V smart knives in my Roland PNC 950.
These are a self-contained blade and holder. No messing with blade depth and stiff bearings.
Superb re-order service from E Mathias makes it easy.
