Education Program for Signmakers
Having just attended Sam Armstrong’s Education Programme for the sign industry I can only praise her for wanting to give something back from her knowledge gained over the years she has been in the industry. It’s packed full of photo’s, profile drawings, hints and tips as to how you can get the most out of the signs we sell with advice from a consultative side on how fonts/panel splits/illumination all make a huge impact on not just cost but also the aesthetics of a sign. There was also a hands on session full of new, slightly more unusual products that I haven’t even heard of or seen before! The programme was run at a fabricators so not only do you see and share experiences of the other sign companies you also see the practical side of signs being manufactured which puts a lot into perspective.
Although selling signs over the years, terminology was never my strong point when trying to order a sign, but this course certainly made a worthwhile difference and look forward to more exciting projects in the future.
