Edges Of Print Curling – Help Needed
Hi everyone. I have a little problem i was hoping someone could help me with.
We were asked by a Real Estate office to do some big prints to hang in the windows to be used as blinds to stop the sun. The prints are 2.8m tall and 0.9m wide with a solid black background and a little bit of white text. As it is being used as a “blind” it can only be attached to the top of the window frame to allow people to look out of the window if the need arises.
The biggest problem is my boss has his head jammed up his CHEAP A***. He has forced me to print onto some cheap banner material, attach the banner using “sail track” and stick a 10mm steel rod in a loop that was sewn into the bottom of the banner and as you could imagine it looks bad and the customer isn’t happy.
My boss had managed to do the job for less the $100 so we can still redo it and hopefully still make some money.I told him before we started i had concerns about the material curling, he said it would be alright. He has been in the sign game a lot longer then me so i took his word for it, now he is blaming me. I just need to know if there is a material that will not curl on edges 2.8m long. Or is there some other way we might be able to do this? Any help would be appreciated
Just so you know we print on a Roland SJ-740 Pro II
Thanks for your time 🙂
