  • Edge Printing PVC-10 on 2 sides how to please?

Posted by Tim Lucas on 8 January 2010 at 22:50

Well hello all, on this snowey eve,

I’m trying to work out how to print 20 pieces of 50 mm circles with the edge2 on both sides of this semi-ridgid plastic material PVC-10. Once they are printed I need to score cut them out on the plotter.

Now the real question is how to get perfect registration for printing the front and the reverse side?? If anyone has done this I’d really appriciate the help please?

    Thanks in advance,

    Timmy

Wouldn’t you use the ‘Home’ button to do this?

Can’t be done I think. The material has different surfaces on the front and the back as well I think, gloss on the front and matt on the backside.

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for the reply. Yes I think I’d need to do that, however it’s the Y registration I’m more concerned about…
    Have you tried it yourself?

Tobias, Thanks for the info, I’m under the impression from our suppliers that this material can be printed onto both sides..? don’t know for certain though..

I have material arriving today and I’ll try be experimentation!! Any one got a spare white coat??

I’ll let you know how I get on.

    Thanks again,

    Timmy
