I’ve got Dreamweaver 8 for Dummies Book (yes that is because I’m a big dummy :lol1: ) not sure how advanced it gets as I skip those pages because it may as well be in a different language (which I suppose it is really 😕 )
These dummy books always seem to simplify things so have a look and see if it has the features you want to lean.
hope that helps somewhat
cheers

Thanks Warren,
Just had a look at it, does seem like that might help me a bit.
I’m not really doing that much just updating text and images which i seem to be able to do. Just thought it might be helpful if i understood the program a little better, some of the terminology makes no sense to me at all!!!Dave

I use the dummies book also. Seems to make most sense and breaks down the jargon for guys like me

Thanks for the link Dave. Had a look but always prefer a hard copy, just my preference.

I always used to prefer a book but I got a Dreamweaver tutorial CD which is absolutely superb.
Only cost about £8 and the video tutorials follow what happens on screen exactly. I can pause the video, ALT-tab back to dreamweaver and do the same in the web site.
With the facility for indexed searching as well it really worked for me. -
hardcopy? not any more, piles of them here all worthless as technology moves on… not even sure what I will be doing with them

Dave,
If your only updating the odd bit of text & image, try EditPlus http://www.editplus.com , its cheap, and we use it to write all our websites. Its not got a graphical interface like Dreamweaver, but it does make for fast page creation, and doesn’t add lots of useless code.
I personally recommend it for anyone creating or editing web sites. -
Thanks for the replies.
Pretty much got it all sorted now not quite as daunting once i jumped in.
Especially with some of the useful links.i could be building sites in no time. 😀
