Double sided banners (Green)?
Posted by Tim Painter on 13 October 2005 at 15:47Anyone know who does banners in Green for double sided use?
Client was using white total block banner from General Banner with Green text and they had the smart idea to reverse the colours.
Anyone use green banner material double sided? Both sides will be viewed.
General banner suggested back to back material but I dont really want to increase the weight.
Thanks
Tim.

Yes cut vinyl lettering only Rob.
My only concern is banner material has 1 smooth face and one not so smooth as you will be aware.
Just wanted to ask the question rather than having a headache down the line.
CheersTim.

You can get PVC Material that has the smooth (laquered) finish on both sides. The opacity of the material really depends on the colour,
Dark green, Navy, Black are good,
Light greens, sky blue, yellow & red are very transparent & you will get shadowing when you view the banner from the reverse. If it is a lighter colour, it may still let a lot of light through – so you have to go a step further and stick a black layer of PVC sandwiched in the middle. Obviously this makes the blank banner 3 times heavier, bulkier & costlier. hope this makes sense 😀

Tim my understanding is total block is in white only.
I just had to produce lots of black banners, some D/S and the company I bought them from had this in a heavier grade than norm which did the job.
I asked about D/S in colours and they explained it would be 2 banners
with a blackout material in between. (Not cheap)It will be interesting to see if any company does coloured D/S banners as
my biggest customer was inquiring about them. -
There is a total block fabric available that lends itself well to being re coloured, but is only available in full rolls. Not much use to you I know, you will have to find a supplier who has the ability to do this. You have to use the correct combination of inks and reducers to achieve this tho aswell as having the skill to apply the inks to the fabric. Hope this makes sense.
