  • Does the roland camm-1 CX-24 cut longer than 5ft?

    Hi,
    I have a Roland Camm-1 CX-24 and I am using Corel Draw 11.
I want to cut some banner vinyl, the logo I want to cut is 2 ft wide and 7.5 long but when I go to print preview it, a quarter of the logo is missing.

Does the CX-24 cut longer than 5ft?

im no roland expert but, you may find due to it being 2ft wide it has tiled it, although the cutter is 610 actual cutting width is around 590.

i have found with my summa plugin for corel the cut is limited to 8 metres, perhaps this is the case with your 5 metres can only speculate on that though!

hope is of some help dtg

The max on a PNC-960 is 584mm I think the CX-24 is the same.

Max width is 584mm but I did not know it was restricted in length. I went to the properties of the print driver clicked advanced and found the cutting length to be 1600mm and I was unable to change it.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

We also use corel 11 and a CX24, and we’re able to cut lengths longer than 1.6m, I’ll post how tomorrow when I’m at work.

In properties click on the advanced button.
Open the document options folder and click on properties next to media size settings.
Click on add new media size and give it a name eg vinyl.
In the white boxes you can change the width (max 584mm) and length (max 24998mm) to what you require.
    Click OK
    then apply
    This should do the trick.
