  • Does anyone use Quotewerks software?

Just wondered if anyone had any comments on Quotewerks, or does anyone use any other quoting/invoicing software (other than a straight accounting program).

    I use Quotewerks Peter,

    Does the job for me,
Easy enough to use, once you have loaded all your prices etc.

This is the only system I’ve used so can’t compare it to the likes of Clarity, Estimate and the like.

Would be interesting to see if anyone else uses it.

I use EstiMate. It does what I need it to.

Its easy to use, I can use my Logo on it. and it seems to do a good Job. Its also easy to update prices globally. I also like that I can add items whilst in an invoice from the invoice screen, SO I can add a new vinyl, substrate or even a new customer. I am running version 1.99 and so far haven’t felt the need to upgrade to version 2.00

I haven’t tried any others. so I also cant compare it to anything.

Well I took the plunge and have been using QW for a couple of weeks now.
Bit of a learning curve but it is so versatile in allowing documents to be set up exactly how I want them with full auto-fill.

Ian, I’d encourage you to update.

I was running 1.99 for a long time, updated a few months ago…. much much better program. Has a great feature for letting you price a multi lined quote, but just displays a one lined description and price.

Stops the client from knowing all the details so they can’t get a direct comparison elsewhere.

That, and a few other things that are done better, plus it auto updates when changes are made.

Thank you Shane, I will look into it. I don’t normally jump to the latest and greatest just for upgrading sake. But with an "honest" recommendation. I will certainly look into it further.

    Thank you again

Tell them I suggested you call Ian, I’ve asked a couple of pretty stupid questions of late. They are sure to remember me 😕 probably still talking about me at the water cooler 😳

just looking at Quotewerks, looks very good, as you say very configurable to your needs and it will talk to Outlook, Qickbook and more.

Good stuff Peter, did Matt come and load it up for you? he’s a good guy.

How does it compare to what you used previously

Martin I loaded and set it up myself.
I’ve also set up a load of documents with formulas etc.
Compared to Clarity I would say it is not so user friendly and I prefer the way Clarity has all info on one screen for a job rather than having to select tabs.
However, the versatility wins it for me and the fact that Touch Systems once told me that they couldn’t answer me a simple question on their SignTific software (will it run on XP) as I didn’t have a service contract.
Funny thing they had ceased support for it which is why I cancelled the contract.
