    I’m after some advice…

we are a new, small company that makes and supplies car graphics. a customer has asked us to supply him with a graphic sized for his motorbike. He wants to spray it with mirror flake paint before he applies it to his bike. In the two months we’ve been trading, no one has asked us about this! does anyone know if it is possible to spray paint vinyl? can anyone see any problems with this? is applying low tack application tape over the top once the paint has cured going to cause any damage?

Dont know if it makes any difference, but we generally been use Victory’s Multi Fix Series 7000 vinyl.

It’s a puzzler! hope someone can help!

    Kate 🙂

    Hi
    Kate

We have applied paint to vinyl in the past with no dramas

Although it was applied quite thinly to create fades etc

Rob has also done a couple of demos on spaying onto vinyl but I am not sure you have access to the demo forum.

We used vinyl fron victory and very cheap acrylic paint to do the vehicle in the link above and it is still on there with no peeling or flaking after about nine months.

    It can be sprayed.
Just do it BEFORE you weed it.
Wait a day or two before applying low-tack transfer tape.
    Apply wet.
    Offer no warranty.
