Does anybody use JAC 8 year Vinyl?
Posted by Paul Blackwell on 11 June 2004 at 08:17Does anybody use JAC 8 year Vinyl.
At present I am using metamark 7 year vinyl and I am very happy with it, but there is a massive difference in price between metamark and JAC.I would like to know if JAC is any good.
Cheers

Hi
vinyl logistic’s have just sent some samples through for me to try and i have got to admit on first appearances seems to be a nice plable vinyl, hoping to cut and apply to see how well it performs next week. Jac is actually something to do with Avery Dennison, so the info pack says very nice set of colour chips avaliable for the range as well.Kev

Not used the vinyl, but V Logistics are nice people to deal with.
JAC squeegies are nice(i like anyway) classed as white, but are actually green ..weird
Jayne is very knowledgeable and has been in the biz’ along time.

Have not been cutting for very long, but the only vinyl we now have is JAC
Starting off we had a load of vinyl with the machine I believe it was Hexis.
I do seem to prefer the JAC stuff though
Very helpful people, and speedy deliveryRegards

I have never tried any of the JAC vinyl range but interested in what folk have to say about them. The feedback so far is pretty good… I see them advertised, so I am glad the topic has been brought up on the boards. Thank you…
One thing I always try to stress with vinyls is….
It is not necessarily how easy, how well they cut, they feel & apply, it is how they perform once you have moved onto the next job!
This covers:
How they conform: pull backs from recess work
UV stability
Shrinkage etc etcIf anyone has tried these vinyl’s long term… 1 year or so… please reply and advice. I would appreciate it very much… 😀

I have always used vinl logistics since I started and when they changed to JAC I used th 4 year stuff, I have started using the 8 year for the last 5 months or so and it appears excellent. The 4 year stuff used to pull away from recesses within days but so far no reports of problems from the 8 year.
I have never tried any other manufacturers vinyl but my opinion is don’t fix what isn’t broke.
Cheers
Archie
