Does anybody use Colorific Promax ink?

We run a Roland Sol-jet 3 and have just changed over to Colorific ink cartridges – a saving of £25 / cartridge. We have used Colorific bulk ink systems before in previous printers and experience no problems.

However, with the Pro-max ink the vinyl seems much more ‘tacky’ doesn’t matter how long we leave it to outgass – day, week.

We mainly use Metamarks MD5 but same happens with Hexis Hxpress wrap vinyl when the profile puts down less ink.

So, does anybody else experience this problem ?

I haven’t spoken to Colorific yet but thought would see what other users are experiencing.

    Thanks, John

Never thought of that, presuming you mean too high.

Must admit, that we are a bit lazy and tend to use the same setting for most materials but then again it works – or it did with Roland ink.

I’d say heat settings too. I’ve used Colourific inks quite a lot recently and they seem to cure pretty well on most of the media’s I’ve seen.

    Thanks for replies.

Decided to change over to Triangle inks as they are closer match to Roland. Also, we are getting over spray which some people link to Promax ink.
