    Hi Nik,

I’m looking for a illustrator file that has the Avery series color swatch in it. Basically so the Color used in the file and the proof matches the color of the vinyl used.

Perhaps I’m loosing the plot but I printed some proofs on a color laser and the shade was a million miles away from what the vinyl really looked like.

I did find the file for Dura Chrome on one site, but cannot find anything for Avery.

    🙁

    Tim.

Can’t help with the files, but one thing to consider will be your printers output, how your printer is calibrate will effect the colour that comes out of it.

What i mean is you might get the Avery colour swatch but your printer might not print the colour correctly.

I would concur with budone. It’s all down to printer calibration.

I can never get accurate colours from my laser and if accuracy is essential you would be better off with an ink-jet.

If you search on google etc. Avery swatch illustrator there might be something or ask avery themselves they will know if anyone. Then all you do, as you may know is goto; Mac, applications-Illustrator-presets-swatches and copy the downloaded files into there or PC; program files-illustrator-swatches etc.

Very late to the dance, however, anyone doing a search and still desires palettes for use…

I was contracted by Avery a few years ago to produce palettes for Adobe, Cadlink, CorelDRAW, Gerber, Macromedia, and ScanVec. They have just recently contacted me again updating the paletts they offer to reflect product line changes. I need to disclose that these paletts had North America as the targeted audience. I believe European part numbers and color names differ to some degree from NA part numbers.

If you would like to try them anyway, knowing the disclaimer, head over to digital.averygraphics.com. From the resulting page, select Resources, then select A-Series Color Palettes.

Don’t have a time frame for the updated palettes and don’t know if it will be requested to include European products, be it integrated or even separate.
