Display Board layout with movable elements, advice needed please?
Hi All, it’s not very often I ask for any help as I can usually find answers in the forums. If any one has any idea on this or has done something similar any advice would be very appreciated. I have been asked to do a display board printed on to foamboard with steps going around the board. Then it has to have a movable image that can be placed at each step as they go through the lesson. I was thinking Velcro but it would get a bit tatty after a while. I was also thinking ACM but magnets wont stick to Aluminium, as If anyone has any ideas that could help could you please let me know.

Use magnetic composite sheet
(metal-faced composite) you can buy from europoint)moveable elements, “magnetic panel” with graphic on it. slides about freely and holds when needed.

Thanks for the advice, I will look in to these options and give them both a call. This looks like the way to go for these boards, better then Velcro.

Hi Alan
AMARI supply a dibond type product with a metal element that will allow magnetic prints to work. We used it for price boards at Longleat. That’s the way I’d go. Not cheap stuff and it has more weight. Give them a call.

You can buy ferrous sheet material which is self-adhesive and can be applied to any background to produce a surface that magnets will stick to.
