This sign is an epoxy resin sculpted moose, grapes and leaves with a 23K gold leaf ribbon mounted on a cherry MDF wood panel. The barrel was sculpted out of HDU using a CNC router.

What a great sign. So good to see something where the customer has paid for something unique & different.
Our once great Pubs seem to think that a digital print is the only way to go now.

I think that’s brilliant but unfortunately as Peter says people don’t seem to want to pay for work like that these days.

    Great looking sign!

I understand the thing about people often wanting a simple print etc, but to make other types of signage, make samples, or show what you can do, you’d be surprised
About how you can up sell a sign project if the customer gets a grip of what you can
do for them. Think you can sell more than you think in your areas? 🙂

Excellent work as always Gary, really like this mate… top notch!

When you say epoxy resin Gary, do you mean the head was formed from a mould mate?

I agree totally Henry, having live samples in front of you helps up-sell your work much easier.

Thanks for taking the time to share your work Gary, much appreciated mate.

Wow is been a long time since I have seen any new sign that looks even remotely similar to that great looking price of art.

I really do agree with the other comments you could make some really nice sales with that quality work combined with the creativity to come up with that in the first place.

I’m sure you will get plenty more feedback from the landlord and it certainly won’t be your last order.

I cut the a rough profile shape of the moose head out of HDU and added aluminum foil to flesh it out adding Magic Sculpt Epoxy putty as an outer skin. The antlers started off with a skeleton of steel rod and lath with a skin of Magic Sculpt. Attached is a picture of the moose half finished.

Thanks again for all the compliments, it really means a lot from fellow professionals like yourselves!
