    price seems very good derek…

    some good points:
better to have the laser for pin pointing the area you are heating.
its also better having it as a gun shaped device because its far more natural to hold it like that, especially when your trying to work with two hands at once. i.e. holding heat gun in one hand, holding laser in the other.
the large digital screen is also a bonus whilst working as its good to just have a quick glance at the reading.

the only thing i cannot see is a maximum heat reading. you will want it to give readings of a "minimum" of 200 degrees, because the advised heat for the likes of oracal’s wrap is about 180 degrees, others are similar. so better having a bit more to be on the safe side or its pointless having the guage at all…

That one goes up to 400 deg C.

However, I doubt the validity of the price drop since they also sell a much better one for its supposed original price of £49.99 http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Tab … &criteria=
I imagine it might have been a more realistic £39.99 so still worth a buy.
