cant help mate, Ive never done wallpapering of graphics and doubt i ever will. I’m terrible at It, just haven’t the patients but i think its because its so messy and tack is zero comparison to vinyl. funny thing is, when some customers have watched me apply tracks with vinyl they often say "i bet you’d be great at wallpapering" I’m not… I’m crap! :lol1:
anyway… europoint now do a wallpaper but i dont know if its this Digimura or if that’s a particular brand only sold by certain suppliers, the one they told me about came with various Plus advantages to it but to be honest im not sure what they were or benefits. the reason i remember is the very next day i got a call asking me to do a wallpapering job and i declined. just not wanting to go there… not at the moment anyway. we carry enough media stock and prefer to try and keep to what we know and specialise in.
i believe there is a couple of courses on applying this sort of thing. not sure who by though.
Andrew Boyle has done some lovely work using wallpaper… you can see some of it in the 2008 members gallery link found on the homepage.sorry, bit of a worthless reply i guess… :lol1:

Digimura is a fire rated wall paper from Paper Graphics. It is a good product if a little on the expensive side. There are lots of others out there but this product is one which is specified by a lot of architects as it has a fire rating.

Hi
thanks for the replies – it has to be fire rated as its going in a public bar area, I am waiting on a price of a decorator to hang as I already said I’m much like you Robert don’t like the wallpapering jobs… however they are one of my good customers so I’m trying to sort it for them!!
Cheers

Did a lot of Digimura prints in my previous job. It is very easy to work with print wise….prints a dream! Installing wise we always had an experienced "wallpaperer" to put it up ..cos getting it wrong is expensive.

Muraspec in Glasgow do a day course covering Digimura application.
I went through it with Andrew Boyle and Alan his fitter ( thanks Andrew!)It takes a little bit of adjusting to think like a wallpaperer and not a vinyl fitter but is fine once you get into it. The single most important decision is which type of paste to use which depends on the wall you are appling to……get it wrong and the Digimura will simply slip off the wall within 24 hrs of fitting!
Hope this helps

Hi
the manufacturers said use their eurobond Heavy after priming with eurobond primer..

Hi All
Can anybody tell me of some suppliers of Digimura wallpaper please.
Hints and tips are welcome to 😉
I don’t do wallpapering (never have) so may be looking at outsourcing the fitting so if you know of any good fitters please let me know.
Just need to quote for now.
many thanks

Might seem a silly question, but I take it you have to trim both sides of the paper after printing to lose the unprinted margin?

You dont have to remove the exsisting graphic, you can use Vinyl on Vinyl paste, removing the exsisting can lead to all types of problems as you dont know the condition of the wall underneath, you may find yourself having the whole wall replastered !
I’ve wallpapered over wallpaper for up to five layers with VOV !
Most decent wallpapers are now actually fabric backed and you paste the wall, older methods of paper backed should be sponged down with water beforehand so that they dont absolve the water from the paste and shrink !
Hope these tips help someone at sometime !
I have installed Digital Wallpaper for 15 years and is 75% of my work, if anyone needs any pointers feel free to contact me !
