Hi guys sorry got yet another question just about to buy the metamark vinyl but i have been recommend the Ri Jet 145 Digital by mpd supplies, which is a lot cheaper, i be doing a lot of wall stickers, sticker runs and some correx signs ect but because i’m new to the solvent side of things could someone just explain the difference between the two, and why i should stick with the metamark.

    Thanks Danny

Will all come down to monomeric or polymeric Danny. Monomeric is generally cheaper and wont last quite as long.

If its correx and short term stuff then a monomeric grade might be fine for your use. I used to use Oracal 3164 which is a nice film, or try an LG 3911 which is polymeric but you can get some good deals if you haggle hard enough.

One thing I find with the monomeric vinyls is that the cheaper ones tend to shrink a fair amount. I have use the Ritrama and JAC and found that they shrunk most of all. I use MPI 3000 (Avery) as my cheap stuff for short term cori signs. I use MD5 and MPI 2800, with the MD5 with a slightly better quality / finish.

But as with anything that is my take on the applications I tend to do.

Allprint, two types, both 150micron gloss white or textured scuff resistant white – Ring and speak to Glen Fyrth.
It won me a nice contract, simply down the material is great for the end user to use.
