Ok from the Dibond brochure…Front Side 0.3mm Aluminium cover sheet, coil coated surface protected with a peel off foil.
Polyethelene Core.
Reverse Side 0.3mm Aluminium cover sheet, coil coated surface protected with a peel off foil.
Hope that helps mate

Nah not really mate…I can get it through my supplier. But, it’s bloody expensive.
I’d love to use it though.
Here, I make most of my signs from colourbond signwhite steel which if (I think) 0.6 guage steel with powdercoated faces.

Tell thats what BP used (don’t know if they still do) on all there curved/rolled canopy signs….

Yeah me too. Most of the signs I do are on colorbond of one colour or another.
A lot of the older signs around here are Weatherboard about 15mm thick but it’s almost as expensive as Colorbond so I reckon why use it?

quote scozzie:Hey Leeroy,
Is that readily available in Oz?
Scozzie, there is a retailer in brisbane now. I have the web address here somewhere if you want it.
About $100 a sheet in white gloss 2400×1200 I think.
Cheers

$165.00 plus GST here Shane 👿 Makes it very hard to justify the cost to a client. I’d really love to work with this material.

Perth, Shane…
I know we have to pay extra for freight but that’s extreme per sheet don’t you think?
Profit’s not a dirty word I know BUT…

Leeroy, I am a perth boy, born in leederville, & alot of my family are still in WA (Narrogin area – farmers) and I know that freight is often the difference between a reasonable price and an excessive one.
I usually promote the idea that by the time you buy weathertex, 2 coats of undercoat, 2 coats of enamel, the price becomes pretty competative. Colorbond of course is a better price, but the weight of Dibond is attractive.
You are right tho, it is rather dear at your end.
Cheers

Thanks Shane,
I’ll look that contact up.
Leeroy,
I loved the short time I was in Perth. My wife used to live there.
