    Hi,

I’m quoting for a dibond/rynobond (4ft by 4ft 9) sign that is basically an overgrown
version of the companies Mouse mat. I’m thinking of having no returns on the sign
and radiusing the corners (rougthly by hand, then finish with a file).

My problem now is, no returns. Without returns and not wanting to flush mount or
fix through the face, how am I going to fix?

I can put angle bracket on the unit and sign but how do I fix the angle to the sign?
Can I use a two part bonding system and would it be durable enough (strong winds,
exposed position)? If I can which system would you guys recommend and what
preparation, also any pitfalls I should try to avoid?

Have I come at this completely wrong? Suggestions etc, much appreciated.

    Cheers, Pete

    Hi Pete,
You could use jumbo locators and glue them on with the right adhesive.
I have done this on aluminium letters plenty of times.
Put plenty of male locators on and do a paper layout for the fascia.
    The adhesive i use is a 2 part mix. Quantum st3295, A & B.
Call Holdtite in Gateshead, 0191 491 4433 and they will advise.
You will have to by the gun to apply it as well.

    Hope this helps
    Mike

if your want to fix angle to the sign mate. just use VHB tape from 3M.
costs about £35 a roll and has about 30 metres on it.

all you do is score the board in the area your applying the tape. wipe with meths then apply tape. then.. score the metal and wipe with meths. press onto tape firmly all the way along. apply some heat as it lets it bond better. very strong stuff 😉
