  • Diamond Grade Quote – Realistic??

Posted by Graeme Harrold on 11 August 2009 at 16:24

Just got a quote in for a kit to do this van, just seems a little on the high side? Comments appreciated.

Supply only, fluorescent yellow on the rear with diamond grade chevrons and blue/yellow diamond grade down the side. Price came in as a supply only kit circa £670+VAT

    Thanks in advance

where did you get your quote from mate?
to be honest im not surprised. this is the sorta prices you are looking at for this line of work. YOUR Customer will be expecting much higher, just remember that. to top it all, this stuff must be applied 100% correct. it is not easy, apply it dry and you only get one go at putting it in position and its stuck. you cant trim it up on the vehicle either or you seriously risk cutting into the paintwork.

best price i had on chevron kits 3M diamond grade was Wm Smiths.
PVLUK wanted nearly £190+vat for only half way up the back doors of a little VW caddy old shape. Smiths did it for £98+vat (i supplied the kit cut file)

This was a WmSmith quote, I only thought it was on the high side as I also had some other vinyl being cut in addition to the quote that I thought was on the slightly high side.

you should try calling various suppliers for the 6 inch roll of diamond grade x about 45 metres it will cost you at trade price about £400 😕
