    Morning,

There is a car accident repair garage local to me that repair cars and in their office they have a little device that clamps on to their desk.

It`s like a small guillotine and rolls of viny, up to 100mm, can be dragged/pulled through it to create pin strips (any width really).

It`s like a mini plotter but only in the sense that it cuts vinyl. All you do is adjust and lock the blade into position at the desired width and pull the vinyl through.

The guy has no idea where it came from.

Does anyone think they know what i`m talking about and if so, know anyone who might be able to supply such a “machine”?.

    Cheers

It’s a slitter , you could probably make your own with one of those gift type paper or brown paper dispensers if it was sturdy enough.

    Thanks Rod,

Slitter is the word that wouldn`t come to me this moring but sounds exactly what i`m after.

I remember seeing one in a mag years ago and when i tok advice on it i was told it wasn`t very good.

That was about 9 years ago!.

I`m just wondering if anyone knows of a model i can buy off the shelf.

    Cheers

    Hi Shane,

    Sounds like the thing.

Are Spandex a retailer and/or a Manufacturer?. i.e. Do they sell direct or do i have to go through some retailer here in the uk?.

Rod, they sell direct to the trade here. I assume they do the same there.
