Desk Partition Name/Job Title Signs
Posted by Stacey Clinch on 2 February 2009 at 10:39Hiya Everyone
I was just wondering if anyone can suggest a signage solution!!!!
I have been asked to provide some signs for an open plan office…..each desk has partitioning and they would like to have names/job-titles fitted to each partition.
Can anyone suggest something that I could use.
Cheers

I did something similar before and used sublimation plaques from Xpres. It meant I could have the customers full colour logo and employees name on a brushed steel plate.
I would fix with velcro so they can be changed easily as the employee moves job.

Hiya Paul
Thanks for your response………sounds great, but perhaps a little pricey, how did you fit them onto the partitions??
I was hoping that I might be able to find something that would fit on top of the partition so that it would be visible as you approached the desk.
Hope this makes sense!!
Cheers

We just used velcro Stacey.
Do you have sublimation equipment?

We engrave on to brushed stainless effect laminate, put 4 small velcro dots on the back (hook type) and job done.
The partitions used are the material type to which the velcro hooks stick straight on.
If you want them to be above the partition, you could make them a bit taller so that the lower half attaches with velcro and the top half sticks up.
You could even do these in foam board, with vinyl text both sides. -
Vista have something in their range, basicly there is a pin which you pin into the fabric of the divider and their profile is on the front face. I haven’t used them myself but i saw them in their showroom and i thought they would look tidy.

Yeah, we have two products for that sort of thing. One is a pin system for fabric attachments and the other is a bent panel clip type (usually made with bent acrylic) for hanging over the top of the partition. The velcro would probably be easier and more affordable. Here’s a link to a photo of a sign with the panel clip on it.

Engraved brass plate mounted on a" Toblerone" slice of wood……see Morans Wood Components for pre cut oak/mahogany…….
Or have a look at the slide in desk holders (extruded aluminium) from suregrave or mastergrave
