I have a 13yr old helper for the 6 weeks of the school holidays, Cerys has never used coreldraw before and has only used very limited paint type software before.

using youtube demo’s, a few tips / answers from me when required, and simple experimentation, she came up with these to put on kids t-shirts to sell at a local market… I have to admit that I’m rather proud of her first attempts – all done with the freehand tool & node editing to get what she wanted, often using the combine / break and even the intersect tools!

Excellent work High. Well worth spending time helping her along with the technicalities of the software. Essentially design is all about the concept and I’d guess she’s got it. Nice to see the young ones coming up with their own work – impressive!

ahh she certainly gets her brains from her father
:appl: youngsters pick up computers and software so much easier than their peers

lets hope she gets her looks from her mother

    cheers guys!

Cerys just said to me that she doesn’t get any of it from me… and that she’s just naturally talented…

    obviously she’s extremely modest too!
