  • Cutting twice despite using flexicut software and rasterink CJV 30-60

    Hi ladies and gentlemen
As the title says. Design artwork in Coreldraw convert all to curves. Using the flexicut plug in I choose the contour cut icon and it creates the cut line on a second layer.
I then hide the print layer to check the contour just in case there are any odd cuts. This is a single line I have tried to break it apart and all sorts but it is a single line.
I draw a rectangle around the object and click the registration marks icon an select.
Send the whole lot to Rasterlink via the RL icon.
In RL I open the preview/condition management and check the print is centred and the profile. In the cut management page ( this is garment vinyl) I select to wait 60secs before cutting after printing.
Now the printer prints fine and waits 60 secs starts to cut but once it has cut it goes back to the exact same starting point and cuts 0.5-1mm next to the original cut.
So when I go to weed the design there is a hair line piece of vinyl all around the edge which I then have to weed out. Not to bad on a solid design but when cutting smaller letters it is just ripping them out as it cuts them on the printer cause it is going over twice.
I am guessing I have clicked a menu somewhere or a tick box but god knows where.

    Sorry for the long post!

Would it have anything to do with applying an outline *and* a fill in CorelDraw? I know this sort of thing used to be a problem. The solution was to use *either* an outline *or* a fill in the original graphics, but not both. Maybe worth a test.

Have you checked the outline is set as a hairline width?

I think I may have sussed it. The image I have created was by using powerclip and this seems to add additional lines and confusion. So I have now created the cutline using FineCut then using powerclip to create the final image.
    Hope that makes sense.
