    I just discovered that we use exacto knifes to cut our signboard. i found this very tedious and hard on my hands. is there a better tool available for cutting sign board?

    Depending on your budget and if you are cutting to shape or just in straight lines you could use;

    a CNC router, jigsaw, or a beam saw. There are vertical or wall mounted cutters with a rotating blade that work well. All with varying degrees of finish on the edge.

    As our suppliers will cut panels to size for no extra cost (rectangles only), don’t have to worry about cutting these down very often.

    However an exacto or Stanley knife does the job otherwise. You may just have to score a first pass and go over this several times to cut through.

    We use a high speed bench saw for all foamboard and expanded PVC, its gives us an excellent result!

    Hi,
    I bought a small hand tool some months ago after a recommendation from someone on the site here.

    I’m very pleased with it. I cut 4 x 8 sheets with it daily and wouldn’t be without it now. Cuts easily, straight or curved, and you can also attach a hoover to pick up all the nasty little bits that cling on due to static.

    Check out this site. You should be able to buy one in the States or import from the UK.

    I hope this help.

    I use a Kleencut tool for 2500mm lengths. Talks a few passes like an exacto, but much easier on the hands.

    Cheers

    wow that exact precision saw is pretty cool!

    also, the only thing i’m finding for kleencut tools are stainless shears.

    Its a great tool.

    You set the cut depth and follow a pencil or steel rule.

    The fact that its clean and easy to use is also a bonus.
