Thanks for the reply, after about a week I had another problem "no power", what a pain this is becoming so I bought a new plotter just so my work does not fall behind.
I am really pleased with the new summa and pleased with the price since my other summa lasted 8 years with no probs.
Rather than bin the old one I thought I’d have ago repairing it myself.
Now i was able to source a new power supply from the UK by reading the model number on the supply unit spoke to the retailer and was assured that this was the correct supply unit. About a week later supply unit arrives checked it against the old one exact match, fitted it and hey presto it worked by doing this I had managed to save about 500 quid.
So here we go lets test it, fed the vinyl through lowered down the pinch rollers and away it went. The noise coming form the plotter was a knocking as if something fell of the machine, cutting squares was great but anything with a curve you can forget it. Took the machine apart checked all the bearings, belts screws bolts anything that moved. All looked good put it back together.
I thought maybe the problem would magically disappear "no such luck" so what do I do, flogit for spares or repairs or if there is any body out there who had the same problem please let me know how you solved it. I have attached a vid just so you can see it in action. Thanks all
