• Cutting foamex

I am a bit of a novice, and I am seeking advice on cutting foamex board. The old Stanley knife and metal rule does not seem the best method. Do you guys use any special tools?

    Regards

Besides buying it in cut-to-size or having your own table saw / wall saw / varga. A scalpel & straight edge works fine for cutting up the odd section without resorting to making loads of dust.

Just score the line with the scalpel and straight edge and either place something under the area or hang it off a bench & apply a slight downward force whilst running the blade along (to open up the cut). Through 3mm in 3 passes, 5mm in 3 or 4. Not perfect edges, but OK for most applications.
