• Cutter Problem

    I had this problem before but can’t remember how i fixed it.

    The cutting tool is moving really slow when doing curves, its ok on straight lines

    Anybody know?

    All curves lee, or just certain ones, you may have changed the speed or quality of the cut , both will have an effect. the speed is also affected by the number of nodes in the drawing, so whilst a straight line may have only one node at each end, a curve may have many.

    It is all curves
    I have changed the port it was on the wrong one
    Now i have the off scale problem i had before

    Graphtec 610mm

    I did have this before and had to ring sign Master Systems but can’t remember what i did to fix it

    Hi Lee,
    If you go to cutter setup you will find Arc smooth or curve smooth. If its on turn ot off. There is if memory serves me right a setting for the tool ie: drag knife – pounce – tangelical knife. you need to be on drag knife.
    This works on my summa d610 but not on my summs s class 120.
    Ive got Signlab, flexi and coral. found coral easier to use.

    Sounds like an inordinate number of nodes being used to define the curves. However that occured, you want to fix it by going Arrange menu >> Convert to Polyarc, and follow this up with Arrange menu >> Reduce Nodes.
