    Hi Rich,

Unfortunately the customer has a right to see proof of this.

I’ve a job coming up that has asked for a ‘Work at Height’ certificate.

It’s wrapping vans that involves using steps. !!!

I’m not sure if they need it for their insurance etc…but eh…customer always right!

OMG dont you agree that this is just going to far, my god its like making things hard just to complete the easiest of jobs, mine is for application of 20 meters or 1220 etch at ground level !!!

I had to provide proof of liability insurance just to freaking deliver a completed A-frame sign to an apartment complex!
    🙄
Literally just to drop it off outside.

    Totally agree Richard,

Had to wear a hard hat on a car park site last week to fit a logo on a connect bonnet. Lucky for me the backing paper didn’t land on my head!

Have been asked to leave site because my tool box had a heat gun which wasn’t pat tested…the list is endless.

On the news recently, a restaurant was closed due to having tooth picks on the tables.

    F…k.ng madness!

A couple of months ago I worked on some signs inside a factory unit. Before I was allowed on site I had to complete a risk assessment and method statement, then I had to sit through a safety induction course

2 Months later and I still haven’t been paid.

My question is this…will I have to complete another risk assessment and method statement as well as endure their safety induction course again when I return to remove the signs cos they haven’t paid for them 😕

I believe, only in my past experience, they (the non paying customer) need to do a risk assessment, then a H&S course. First aid may help them to.

CSCS not hard mostly common sense, the test consists of 40 multiple choice questions, 2 answers are nonsense and there are 2 more sensible answers but usually the right one is obvious.

The one thing you definitely need to know are what the different colour fire extinguishers are and what kind of fires they are used for.

You can get a book with all the test questions and answers in it, but its more cost, on top of the cost of the test as well.

Sorry forgot to say you don’t need any qualifications to do the test, you will be applying for a basic labourers CSCS.

    quote Jason Middleton:

But that won’t allow you to install a sign, although you may get away with fitting etch. The CSCS card for sign makers to install will only be issued if you have the NVQ
