Creating a stroke effect around text for use with plotter
Hey all,
I’m trying to add a stroke effect to some text in AI so that I can can create a perfect shadow all the way round when I lay one piece of vinyl onto another, i.e the background is the same font but slighty larger all the way round.I can create the stroke effect without any problems but when I right click and convert to lines it only changes the text inside and not the actual stroke effect.
I have also tried object – flatten transparency but this then creates a massive amount of nodes.
I’ve been googling all day and looking at different tutorials but still can’t find the answer…

Problem Solved:

Click on the text
Then click on "object"
then click "expand"
then click on "fill" and "stroke"
