Peter – I’m not on v6 so can’t be sure, but it may just be a config setting. If you take a look at Tools/Options/Page/Background you should see an option to have a background colour there. The options in your version may be different but should be in there somewhere.

Have tried that it does not work I think it is something windows 8_1 asks on opening Corel 6 it gives you 2 options for the colour profile and I chose the wrong one but I can not remember the choices but I certainly chose the wrong one life’s a pain sometimes ain’t it

Peter – Try looking for Colour Management then. In my version (v12) it’s under Tools/Colour Management. You should be able to select different colour profiles from a drop-down list there.
