Covering a vehicle window
What would be the most efficient and neat way to completely cover a vehicle window.
I tried getting an outline of the vehicle and taking the window trace for the cut, but the outline is way off.
I tried taking a photo of the window but I think lens distortion made it askew and slightly trapezium shaped (bottom was fine, top was too short).
The only other thing I can think of is to lay a roughly larger piece of vinyl on top and cut around it with a blade, but I dont want it to look rough or cut the rubber seals.
How do you guys do it? -

clean properly before applying and under the rubber if you can prize it up a bit.
apply it completely. remove application tape , lift the areas of bridging the rubber slightly and proceed to apply tighter to rubber. . once all in place, using a scalpel.
find the edge of the rubber. pop through the vinyl, resting one side against the rubber and cutting on the glass, cut around steady. you wont cut into the rubber unless you have been on the drink the night before! 😉
