courses in signmaking

Hi welcome to the boards.
If you are starting from scratch, a weeks course would not be enough, I presume you have some experience?

thanks for your reply actually I never done it before but for a year now I’m getting a lots of information from every where I have Ben to son trad shows ext, I have experience in graphic design ,And god to know few machines well really I need a practice that all.

Dont want to sound negative, but I will anyway, If I was to say, I want to start a building company next week, can you tell me where I could find out how to do it in a week, or a car repair shop, or a plumbers etc….
It cant be done that easy, If you want to start a business, start off with something you Know, if not, you will fail.

if i Want to start a business certainly not next week but It could take another few months ,I have to learn first that why I want to go for a course and work experience I have done some design work lately for sign maker and helped him out in his work it was OK going for a course will learning the basics and the rest will be practice

Check with your local technical college – they may well run a course in signwork. Some even have evening classes for those who just want to learn the basics or brush up on certain skills.

If I was you I would carry on helping out your local signmaker as this is a great way to learn on the job.

Arslan, can you tell us a bit about yourself, are you living in Mallorca? or Algeria?
No point in recommending anything in the uk if you cant take advantage of it.

I m Algerian and I lived in mallorca now for 14 years and my wife is English so I travel to England very often that my connection with this country, I love the big cities like Leeds ,Manchester, London the sign are amazing lots of design that why I want to do that and England is my inspiration .

I have looked every were for a courses in Spain but there is no one even when for the Spanish sign makers they need to go were else to do them
I found a course on the Internet and look very good but I have to check it out http://www.signtraining.com it is a 5 days course but I will try it ,
