• council signs

    Hi there.

Ive been asked to price up some signs for Dudley council, they’re quite specific about what they want as all the metropolitan council signs are the same. However I’m finding it hard to find a supplier of the aluminum blank sign.

The only way of describing it is…its a large (say 1000×600) aluminum white tray, with a slightly larger tray to fit over the top, (a bit like a box of chocolates) this allows front and back to be sign written, and it fitted together by screws down the side of the tray.

If anyone can help with a supplier that would be great.

I know its a bit vague but ill try to trawl the net for a picture of one.

    Thanks

Sounds like an info panel from your description, try someone like Spandex as they do this sort of thing in one of their wayfinding systems.

Amalgamated signs in Denton (North West) could help you and would ship them down to you. Tel: 0161 351 1171

    Hey thanks Guys.

While searching for Sign & Screen-print Supplies, i came across yell.com, which has a localized search for sign makers materials 😎

You all probably know this but i thought I’d share anyway.

    Thanks

A lot of very good suppliers won’t even feature in yell.com so don’t use that as your only guide. As for the sign itself I thought you were looking for something double sides, a sign tray is only single sided.

I have just used Sign & ScreenPrint Supplies this week for the first time. Three days from order to delivery for an aluminium powder coated tray approx 1400 x 1300. Very good price and packaged well enough to carry a glass chandelier!
